GPS Navigation Hire in South Africa through Europcar and Cape Spirit
Rent a TOM TOM GPS directly with Europcar.
TOM TOM’s GPS units are a must for all self drive travellers. This satellite navigation system unit plugs into a vehicle's cigarette lighter point and is operated through a touch screen mechanism. The user simply has to punch his/her destination into the unit and he/she will be guided with turn-by-turn directions on screen and voice prompts to their destinations in their choice of 24 languages including English, Afrikaans, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Swedish, Danish, Portuguese, Dutch, Norwegian, Finnish, Polish, Czechoslovakian and Hungarian.
The GPS unit may be collected from any Europcar location in South Africa. We however require 48 hours notice for a GPS reservations to guarantee a unit.
Rental Charges
• R69.00 per day
Rates are inclusive of 14% VAT.
Insurance cover is subject to an excess of R1500 payable by the hirer should the unit be lost, stolen or damaged. Insurance only covers the GPS unit and not the accessories. Accessories stolen, lost or damaged will be billed at standard retail prices.
Rental Criteria
Renters must be at least 21 years of age and be able to provide the following on collection of the GPS unit:
• A valid passport
• A valid credit card
Europcar Clients would only be required to sign one contract for both the vehicle and GPS.
Clients are required to personally hand in the GPS to a rental agent and will receive a receipt to confirm this.
Reservations
Clients may reserve a GPS unit prior to arrival in South Africa to avoid the disappointment of no units being available due to the high demand.
GPS units are available at all EUROPCAR branches in South Africa. The GPS unit may be collected from and returned to any Europcar Car Hire Branch in South Africa.
GPS Rental cost is R 69 per day (include 14% VAT). Credit Card and ID / Passport compulsory, minimum age 21 years.
If you require a GPS please request this in the final step of your reservation with Europcar through Cape Spirit™ by ticking the GPS box. Europcar requires 48 hours notice for a GPS reservation to guarantee a unit, please ensure that you book at least 48 hours in advance if you require a GPS rental.
